USA. Dover Downs is the group in the Trotting section that holds every harness race of one meeting at a single track. The group name pairs the country with the venue, and the races are listed in card order, from the opener to the last race of the day.
Reading the USA. Dover Downs card
Each race of the meeting is shown as a separate block made up of these parts:
|
Date and time | the advertised start of the race |
Track name | the venue staging USA. Dover Downs |
Race 1, Race 2… | where the race sits on the day's programme |
№ plus a name | one declared runner and its number |
SP | no price is set in advance, settlement uses the starting price |
Only the first few horses fit on screen inside a group block. Tap the race to open its own page, where the whole field appears under the "Winner, Starting Price" market.
Postponed races, track changes and void races
The site's rules contain no separate harness racing chapter. Section 10.21, written for horse racing, covers these cases:
A race from the meeting is moved to another day and official sources confirm it: bets stand;
The race is stopped, or officially declared void: a single bet is void, and the race is dropped from any accumulator it was part of;
Race conditions are altered after bets were taken, or the meeting switches to a different track: the same outcome, single void and leg removed from the accumulator.
Ante-post bets on a race from the meeting
Bets struck well before race day, known as ante-post, follow their own part of section 10.21. An updated list of runners comes out one or two days before the race, depending on its class, and ante-post markets close once race-day odds are published. A horse withdrawn and missing from the updated list is treated as a loser. If the meeting slips to the next day because of the weather, ante-post betting stays open until the off; if it is called off altogether, those stakes are refunded.
Other harness meetings are listed in the Trotting section.
